The data center industry’s biggest gathering of the year lands in Las Vegas September 28 through 30, when Yotta 2026 opens at Caesars Forum. Organizers are calling it the world’s largest show built around the intersection of AI, energy, and infrastructure, and the numbers back that up: more than 6,500 attendees, over 350 partner companies, more than 300 speakers, and an expo floor that is already 95 percent sold out.

The Problem Everyone Is Flying In to Solve

Yotta 2026 is built around a single number: a 70-gigawatt energy gap between what AI infrastructure needs and what the grid can currently deliver, alongside an estimated 7 trillion dollars in hyperscale investment opportunity tied to closing it. Founder George Rockett summed up the thesis behind the event: “AI infrastructure is not being built in silos. It requires coordination across compute, power, capital and deployment.” That is the exact conversation this newsroom has been tracking all year, from the grid strain behind AI’s power surge to the water fights already breaking out around cooling.

Who Is in the Room

The confirmed speaker list includes Chris Malone, OpenAI’s head of data centers, and Dylan Patel, founder and CEO of SemiAnalysis, alongside leaders from AMD, Cologix, Compass Datacenters, CyrusOne, DataBank, KKR, Lambda Labs, and MGX. Partner companies span the full build stack, from engineering and construction to power and cooling, including ABB, AECOM, Bloom Energy, Schneider Electric, and Siemens Energy. Attendees include power suppliers, land developers, financiers, and the technology vendors trying to keep pace with all of them.

More Than a Trade Show Floor

Beyond the mainstage sessions, Yotta 2026 runs an “Innovate Arena” where startups get seven minutes to pitch, more than 3,000 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings, and 15-plus networking events including mixers, roundtables, and breakfasts. The event wraps with a closing party headlined by DJ Pauly D at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, a reminder that even an infrastructure conference this serious still knows how to close out the week.

Why It Matters

This is the second year running that Yotta has become a checkpoint for where the AI buildout actually stands. This publication covered NeoVolta’s energy storage momentum at Yotta 2025, and the questions this year are sharper: who is actually closing the power gap, who is solving water and cooling at scale, and who is still just talking about it. Expect those answers to shape data center specs and vendor shortlists well into 2027.
